I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
