Iran Reports Strike on US Base in Bahrain, As Part of Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed strikes across the region in response for a significant and ongoing attack against it by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area in the area of the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is uncertain and the American officials has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - all home to US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was striking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites associated with the the regime, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the government.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," it added.
Officials reported missile fragments fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
