Suspect in Ivy League Campus Tragedy Found Discovered Deceased Inside Self-Storage Unit.

The man suspected of being the recent fatal shooting incident at Brown University authorities state died by suicide on Thursday night, per officials.

The discovery was made at a storage facility on Thursday evening, according to information citing an official source. The same individual is also believed of the murder of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at a home in the Boston area.

“He took his own life this evening,” said the chief of the Providence police department during a press conference.

The police official identified the individual as Claudio Nevis Valenti, a 48-year-old student at Brown University.

This news comes after a significant police operation at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire earlier on Thursday. Witnesses described seeing multiple agents in tactical gear converging on the premises.

The manhunt for the shooter had restarted on Monday after the attorney general's office revealed that a person of interest on Sunday had been let go. This turn of events was admitted to be likely to cause fresh anxiety for the local community.

Local officials noted that while the letting go was a setback, the broader investigation continued unabated.

The two students who were killed in the attack have been named by family. They are Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama who was active in a campus political group, and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an international student in his freshman year who dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon.

Officials are expected to hold a press conference to deliver additional information on the circumstances of the death.
